Stone Soup - A Book Based Sensory Bin

Inspired by the timeless tale 'Stone Soup', this sensory bin invites children to scoop, tong, pour, and stir their own pot of soup! As little chefs cook and share their creations, they are practicing cooperation, storytelling, and fine motor skills - all inspired by the heartwarming folktale about sharing and kindness.

Learning Objectives

* Language Development - Encourage your child to recall story details, sequence the order of ingredients that go into the soup and use new vocabulary from the book.

Included are
* 3 cups of sensory mix made of kid safe colored pasta, rice, beans, and grains.
* Hand painted tools such as a mini wooden plate, a small wooden scoop, small steel tong, small steel spoon, small steel serrated spoon, mini steel bowl and a medium ceramic pot for stirring the soup.
* Loose parts - 5 pieces of pretend foam fire, 3 hand painted soldier wooden peg dolls with hats, 6 pieces of pretend vegetables, 2 pieces of pretend meat, a small container with small stones, a set of mini glass salt/pepper shakers.
* Plastic tray is not included but can be added on at an additional cost.
* The book 'Stone Soup' by Marcia Brown is not included but can be added on at an additional cost.
* Shipping is not included.

Care Instructions
* Store the sensory mix and the loose parts in a cool, dry place. (They can be stored in the press and seal bags that they come in).
* Not for use with water.
* Wash hands before and after use.

* This sensory kit contains small parts(choking hazard) and is designed for kids ages 3+ years. Adult supervision is required during use.
* Not for consumption.

Each kit is unique as it is hand made, so exact contents may differ from photos or vary slightly. However the loose parts will always match the theme in the book.
