How Do You Know It's Fall?
As the days get shorter and nature starts to change, help your preschoolers understand the season of Fall through this book based textured sensory bin!
Learning Objectives
* Fine Motor Skills - Scoop, pour or tong using the tools provided to develop pincer grip and hand strength essential for writing.
* Sensory Exploration - Sift through leaves, acorns, pinecones and pumpkins of various sizes and textures mixed into a fall colored sensory base, thereby engaging the senses.
* Language Development - Encourage use of vocabulary such as bumpy, crunchy, soft, rough, shiny, smooth etc to describe what they see and feel.
* Math - Count the number of acorns or pumpkins, sort by texture, understand concepts such as depth and volume through scooping and pouring.
* Imaginative Play - Encourage story creations leading with 'how do you make leaf soup' for example.

* 3 cups of sensory mix made of kid safe colored pasta and rice.
* Hand painted tools such as mini wooden spoon, mini wooden scoop, bamboo tong, small wooden-inch bowl and wooden egg holder cup.
